July 30, 2003 -- Nine Weeks Old
In this photo, I am crouching down snuggled underneath mom's hand as she rubs
my back. I am nearly 10 weeks old, and my folks are amazed at how I love to
be rubbed all over, cupped in two hands, kissed and held. They tell me I am
a very unusual starling. Of course, I already knew that!

Yet another example of what I do every time mom calls me, "Shadow-bird."
I tilt my head at her and begin chirping and waving my wings at her. Then I
want her to pick me up right then for a snuggle! |
