12, 2003 -- Twenty Days Old
Likes to hide. He is beginning to show a temper.
Shadow has discovered hiding. He has learned that he can scoot underneath my computer
monitor and hide. Sometimes he jumps out and pecks my keyboard then scurries back
underneath the monitor, certain he is hidden. He also seems to feel that he is
hidden from sight when cupped in my hands, and he reaches out and pecks anyone
who tries to touch him while he is there.
It is becoming
obvious that our sweet baby bird has a typical starling temper. He danced angrily
and squealed with headfeathers raised when his daddy tried to place him on the
playstand today. For some reason he ate much more today than in the past several
days. We wonder if he is having a growth spurt.
